Girl Scout 112th Birthday Party Glow and Girl Scout Week Come to the Museum to Celebrate a spectacular Glow Party! Dive into a luminous world of fun and games under the enchanting glow of black lights. 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Cost is only $15 per Girl Scout and $6 for Leadership/Supervising Adults. 2024 Founders Hall Induction/Celebration In the heart of the North Star Museum of Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting, a celebration is brewing—a celebration of visionaries, leaders, and volunteers who have etched their mark on the legacy of Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the North Star Museum. Celebrate the induction of two Trailblazers - Bradley Johnson (Troop 50) and Don "Ranger" Lee (posthumously). 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Cost is $50 per person. Register here. April 20 University of Scouting Each spring and fall the Museum participates in this adult leader training day held at St. Paul College near the St. Paul Cathedral. Leaders interested should check it out at northernstar.org. April 20 Museum is closed. Staff and volunteers will be at the University of Scouting on the Midway and presenting classes. May 2024May 9
Family Fun Rocket Night 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Calling all families! Come make a variety of rocket toys, including a rocket from a water bottle that launches skyward in the parking lot. All ages are welcome. It's possible that this could be a stepping stone for a future NASA scientist in your family! More importantly, it's certain that it will be a memory-making evening fueled by imagination and resourcefulness. Cost per session is $15 per person or $12 for Museum members. Check back for registration and other details. May 16 Volunteer Recognition and Annual Meeting Join us at 6:30 p.m. at the Museum to recognize our hardworking volunteers and successes. Order of the Odor Reunion Put a hold on your calendar! Have you been affiliated with Scouting USA, Girl Scouts of the USA, or the North Star Museum at least 5 years, and are a current member of the Museum. You are a Skunk! The reunion will be held at Fred C. Andersen Scout Camp, Holton, WI. Register here. June 13 Tie Dye Night (Cancelled) Adults and children, create art you can wear. Cost is $15. Pinewood Derby Build Out Night Interested in building your own derby car or making your existing car better? Here's the workshop for you on Thursday, October 10, 6:30p-8:30p. Cost: $20 (includes car kit). Register here. Jamboree-on-the-Air/Internet The largest event in the world for Girl Scouting and Boy Scouting is coming to the Museum on Saturday, October 19, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.. This event is open to the public -- individuals, groups, or units are welcome. Includes the Radio Merit Badge Workshop (register here). This is a free event. Derby Night at the Museum Stat your engines! The annual "FUNraiser" known as Derby Night at the Museum , will be back on Saturday, November 9, and roaring. This is an ADULTS-only event where you can play as a kid, get in a bit of competition by building your own car, racing it, and having a chance to WIN! Join us at the Museum, 6:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m. Cost: $50 per racer; $10 for each additional car. Day of race walk-ins, $55 per person. Register here. December 2024December 7
North St. Paul's Holiday Hop Celebrate the season at North St. Paul’s Holiday Hop, a community event organized by local businesses and volunteers! Enjoy free entertainment, activities, treats and more—all while supporting our local shops. North Star Museum will be open for this event. All are welcome to stop by to warm up, have a hot drink, and make a holiday ornament. December 26-28 Merit Badge Workshops We're setting up workshops for Scouts BSA youth over the upcoming holiday break. The first week of workshops will be held Thursday through Friday of the last week in December. Check back in the next week or so for regarding merit badges to be offered and how to register. |
