North Star Museum of Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting – North St. Paul, MN
$18–$20/hour | 15-20 hours/week | Flexible Schedule in person
The North Star Museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting. We are seeking a self-motivated Administrative Assistant with strong organizational skills who is excited to contribute their skills to a mission-driven nonprofit. In this role, you will:
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, including QuickBooks entries, sales transactions, and bank deposits.
• Maintain and manage donor databases, prepare acknowledgment correspondence, and issue year-end tax receipts.
• Provide exceptional administrative, volunteer, and visitor support while assisting with facility rentals, museum programs, and special events.
What we’re looking for:
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable using standard office equipment (printers, copiers, etc.).
• Preferred experience with QuickBooks, donor databases and POS.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming demeanor.
• Prior nonprofit or administrative office experience is a plus.
Compensation: $18–$20/hour, commensurate with experience. Flexible schedule available.
