Grand Opening - "Adventures in CampCraft"

Powers of ObservationHere's the invitation you've been waiting for! Join us on Saturday, September 26 (11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.) for the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for our new children's exhibit. This new interactive exhibit has activity stations for youngsters to try their hand at traditional camping activities that both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts historically practiced:  laying a trail, calculating the distance of a thunderstorm, how to measure distance and height, and how to use all your senses when exploring the great outdoors.

This dynamic new exhibit has 3 phases of development that will open over the next 2 years. On Saturday, September 26, we unveil the first phase.  Tish Bolger will be our speaker. This exhibit is funded by the Katherine B. Andersen Fund of the Saint Paul Foundation, and is dedicated to Ron Phillippo for his years of service to youth.

Join us at the North Star Museum of Boy Scouting & Girl Scouting on September 26 for the unveiling of this wonderful new exhibit! This is a FREE event! Call the North Star Museum directly to learn more:  651-748-2880

Firm Bound in Brotherhood: 100 Years of Cheerful Service

Join us on Saturday, October 10, 2015 (11:00 a.m.) for the grand opening of our new Order of the Arrow Anniversary exhibit. This is a FREE Event with lots of activities, including tours, music, and a special performance by the award-winning champion "Four Winds Dancers" of Venture Crew 276. All are welcome! Forward your friends this invitation.

You can also be a part of our new Order of the Arrow exhibit by supporting the creation of this exhibit with the purchase of a collector's patch set! This new exhibit will celebrate the centennial of the Order of the Arrow and is due to open this fall. Our OA exhibit committee created these beautiful patches depicting the various levels of support, and the set includes a large back patch. The featured moose in the patches is the OA Lodge mascot (or is it the North Star Museum's "Bruce the Moose")? You decide!

These sets are sure to be a highly prized addition to any collection and are a numbered series. Simply click here to be directed to our Vanco giving page and select the OA Exhibit patch set.

Be a part of history and support the Order of the Arrow exhibit at the North Star Museum today!

Club Bruce

“Club Bruce,” our NEW Jr. Museum Membership for kids is a big hit! Any child up to 11 years old can join, and it's just $35 a year.

Kids love the Bruce the Moose Adventure Pack with a reflective backpack, water bottle, moose plush, and compass/whistle/flashlight!

Parents love the membership benefits like discounts on merchandise in the gift shop, discounts on programs and meetings, and invitations to members only events!

BOTH kids and parents will love the quarterly newsletter, “Moose News”, that goes out to all Club Bruce members with information about moose and other Minnesota wildlife, the environment, events at the museum, milestones in Scouting history, etc. Click here to see the Spring issue.

And here’s something REALLY COOL. We are sharing a percentage of the proceeds from all Club Bruce memberships with the Moose Research Project of the Minnesota DNR. This is a team of researchers committed to saving our Minnesota moose and trying to discover why the Minnesota populations of moose are dropping.

Club Bruce is a great educational tool for parents, teachers and Scout leaders, and also makes a wonderful gift for that special kid or little Boy Scout or Girl Scout!

Be a part of the adventure! Join Club Bruce TODAY! Contact Shirley (Bruce’s assistant!) at
