North Star Museum at NOAC 2000
As part of the National Order of the Arrow Conference, the Special Events Committee invited museums and individuals to provide displays for the Order of the Arrow Museum. According to Dominique Baker, Museum Chairman, there were over 4,600 Arrowmen and visitors who visited the Museum. North Star Scouting created 30 feet of displays from our collections. These exhibits provided by North Star included three uniformed mannequins. The mannequin displays were of two Boy Scouts (1915 and 1925) and a 1930's Cub Scout. Other items include Boy Scout and Cub Scout Handbooks, Seventy-fifth Anniversary display, Boy Scout catalog pages from the 1920's and First Class Requirements from 1910,1928 and 1965. Of special interest to the Arrowmen was a display of Order of the Arrow Handbook covers.
Special thanks to Paul and Betty Bartyzal for transportation of the displays to and from NOAC, Richard E. Carroll for curating the North Star Museum exhibit and to the other Museum members who helped. This page revised 10/31/00
