Fred C. Andersen Scout Camp
North Star helped to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Fred C. Andersen Scout Camp on Saturday, October 18, 2003. The activities included tours of the camp, special displays on the camp history prepared by North Star, an outdoor BBQ style lunch and a dedication ceremony. Fred C. Andersen Scout Camp is one of Indianhead Council's most active properties. Located five miles northeast of Stillwater along the St. Croix River, this 260-acre setting offers year-round camping, 17 winterized cabins, a training facility, and wilderness campsites. The adjacent Andersen-Weekes Tree Farm is 60 acres of gently rolling hills, open fields, and woodlands. Northstar provided many displays showing the history of the camp from it's earliest days. The displays included pictures of the early buildings at the camp, mannequins with early uniforms as well as patches of the summer and winter programs at Fred C.
